(1915) The whole Polish nation was fascinated by Henryk Sienkiewicz’s Trilogy. The three historic novels written by the Nobel Prize winner were a kind of Bible for many families. Jozef, at the age of 13 and 14, made many illustrations to the dramatic scenes from the books.  A battle between Polish and Swedish soldiers and study of Swedish soldiers are shown here (novel “Deluge”).
